The student rate applies to swimmers who only train on Fridays, Saturdays and during the school holidays.
* Students in the Competitieteam have no gym membership.

Insurance
Through the club's affiliation with the Vlaamse Zwemfederatie (Zwemfed), all members are insured with Arena.
- The insurance covers training sessions, competitions and travel to and from the pool or competition.
- Children in the swimming school are insured separately.
- The policy also includes third-party liability insurance.
- After an accident: fill in the right claim form and hand it to the secretariat as soon as possible.

In brief

Membership runs from 1 September to 31 August inclusive. After two or three trial sessions you confirm in writing (by email) that you are joining; you then receive a payment request for the membership fee. A fee that has been paid is not refunded if you stop, are suspended or are excluded. There is a family discount from the third family member.
Swimmers are at the starting blocks at least 5 minutes before training, report any absence to the coach in advance and follow the instructions of coaches, team delegates and officials. Anyone who withdraws from a competition after the deadline, or stays away without a medical certificate, pays the costs the club cannot recover.
Parents do not coach their child during lessons, training or competitions: that is the coaches' job. Discuss any question or problem directly and respectfully with the coach or the board. In case of abusive behaviour, anyone can turn to the two integrity contact people (Club-API) listed on the Contact page.
In the event of a breach, the board can take an appropriate measure, from a warning to exclusion, after hearing all sides. You can appeal against a decision in writing within 14 calendar days.

ZGEEL processes the personal data of members, parents, coaches, officials and volunteers only for running the club: membership, training and competitions, affiliation with the Vlaamse Zwemfederatie and insurance. The club only uses medical data and images with consent; for minors this is the consent of their legal representative. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
The club only shares data when necessary, for example with the federation and the insurer, and keeps it no longer than needed. You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability: email zgeel.privacy@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).
